I think my friend Becky said it best when she said that she needs to hook up a USB from her brain to her blog in order to update her blog. Pensyl Points would be pointier if I had a USB cable between my brain and the blog.

It's Saturday - Marc is out all day for dog training appointments. The dogs are snoozing and I'm here at the computer catching up on all sorts of things while re-runs of SVU play in the background.

In four months from today I'll be in the Dominican Republic! My heart is literally fluttering! I'd be lying if I didn't admit that one reason why I'm excited is because it's snowing as I write this, but when I'm there in four months it will be 90. It will be gloriously wonderful. I bought my plane ticket this morning - this year we're taking a later flight - which means I won't be sleeping on the flight down there. I guess I'll have to take a book along. The past two years we've driven through the and taken a 7:30am flight - this year we're leaving State College at 7:30am and flying out of Newark at 1:55pm. It'll be weird getting there after a normal night's sleep. It'll also make the van/plane/bus rides more exciting! Additionally this means I get to see Malea in four months...and four months and one day until her birthday!

The HSM seniors had their first DR fundraiser last night - a baby sitting fundraiser - we had 38 kids (exclamation point) and raised $400 dollars! These seniors are ambitious, I sense they're going to raise a lot of money for the trip even with my grumbly attitude toward fundraising. Last year we only had 20 kids - so it was quite the adventure last night. Krista told me that there were 25 3-5 year olds in the preschool room! We think we'll have another baby sitting fundraiser in the Spring. What's nice about the Spring is that we can bring them outside to play :)

This weekend I'm headed to Tuscarora for Senior High Winter Weekend - 23 other HSM students and leaders are coming with me and I'm really excited to spend a few days digging in deeper with these students. Please be praying for what God is going to do this upcoming weekend! I know He's going to move and I'm very excited to see where! When! With who! Oddly, I've been looking forward to eating Tuscarora eggs and potatoes for breakfast on Saturday morning. I don't think I've ever had a hankering for Tuscarora food before so this is feeling is new to me too. Tuscarora is my happy place (as I've blogged about before) so I'm just really excited to go back. It's "growing-up-home" to me.

In 5 months from today Jr. Week will be over. What?! I am supposed to be typing up the meeting notes from October. Yeah...like last October. October 2010. I'm such a slacker. I figure if I get them out before our March meeting I'm doing good :)

The mail lady (Amy) just drove up and put the mail in the mailbox. I wish I could just summon the mail to float through the air to me as I sit in the living room. Like the Accio summoning charm from Harry Potter. Did I mention that it's really windy and snowing out?

Valentine's Day plans? We're probably going to make a heart shaped pizza, enjoy a glass of wine, and share Reese's Peanut Butter cups.

Alright - brain dump over. Someone invent a USB cable to connect to my brain so this blog will be updated more often!
